As a leading CTN retailer operating shops on busy caravan parks located throughout Devon and Cornwall, Park Retail wanted to upgrade its DOS-based tilling system and rudimentary connection to a Head Office computer in St Austell.

Norcon Computers identified Park Retail's exact needs, both in shops and at Head Office and worked up a solution. A secure Virtual Private Network gives each branch permanent, reliable, real-time connections to Head Office and to Norcon Computers' support centres. The existing database has been converted from the old system to the Response EPoS database format. Branches can link to Palmer & Harvey and to Smiths News Connect2U website to order electronically and Head Office can control branch pricing and promotions.
Staff were fully trained on the customised tilling screens a week prior to live implementation and can now produce shelf edge labels automatically and send Z Read and departmental sales reports direct to Head Office.
